He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Douglas, Jessie Highsmith (Daniels), Julis and Catherine Perez (Meachem); his uncle Julius Perez (Ricky); and his aunts, Carolyn Highsmith (Leary), Mazie L. Highsmith and Bernadette (Perez).
He is survived by: his children, Jaki, Marquise, Douglas IV, Jayden, Danessa, Lissette, Diasha-Lee and DeeDee; his brothers, Dario Highsmith (Monica) and Demont Highsmith (Tracee); his uncle Ellis; and his aunts, Yvette, Diane and Margaret. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
