She was predeceased by: her son Sgt. Benjamin Gilman; her friend Allen Court of Meriden; her parents, William and Ruth Gilman; her son Saphira; and her brother Henry Gilman.
She is survived by: her friend Louis A. Rivera Sr.; Louis A. Rivera Jr. (Urasa), Cynthia Rivera Serignese, Melinda Bussuvanno, Rebecca Rivera, Rose Miskar, Edward (Char) of Tacoma Washington and Elmer (Elaine Gilman) of Tacoma Washington. She is also survived by several cousins, and many close friends.
