She is survived by husband Jimmie Collins; her mother Lucille Miller Tripp of Knightdale, NC; and her children, Latanya Tripp-Roach (Levar) of Hamden, CT, Tracy Collins of New Haven, CT, Melinda Collins of Hamden, CT Belinda C Geyer (Burnest) of Hamden, CT; and Jeremy Collins (Shelly) of Springfield, Massachusetts.

Brothers Tony Tripp of New Bern NC, Ernest Tripp (Sung Ae) of Augusta, GA, Shirley Murray (John) of New Bern, NC, Judy Hodges of New Bern, NC, Linda Godette of New Bern, NC, Karen Easter of Oceanside CA and Sonja Gray Tripp of Knightdale, NC. her Sisters-In laws Hattie Collins Boone, and Rosa Cennetta Collins Moore (James) of Jacksonville, NC. Carol Collins Williams (Marshall) of New Bern, NC and Ruth Blango of New Haven, CT. Elsie is also survived by grand children whom she loved dearly, Jeffrey, Naquan, Norris, Jeremy Jr, Tremaine, Jada, Ciara, Brandon, Brooklyn and Brielle; and great grandchildren, Taniya, Emarie, Jade, Naquan Jr and Josiah.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
