We are sad to announce that, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 97, Elton W. Barnes (Meriden, Connecticut) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Barnes and Mathilda Barnes (Nagel); his wife Nancy; and his brother Erwin. He is survived by: his daughters, Diane and Suzanne; his grandchildren, Chelsea and Evan; and his great grandchildren, Maggie and Allie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice.
