He was predeceased by: his parents, Celedonia Rivera and Manuel Muñiz; and his siblings, Gloria Cardona, Tomasa Rivera, Anibal, Benancio, Esteban, Angel and Manuel Muñiz.
He is survived by: his wife Madelyn Muñiz of Parkinson's Disease; his children, Marissa of Meriden, Christina of Meriden, Sarah Muñiz of Meriden and Robert Onofrio (Samantha) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Nicole, Ariana, Dominic, Ashley, Lailani, Jordan, Emmanuel Jr., Nathan, Kingsley and Natalie; his great grandchild Izabella; and his sister Dominga Chaparro of Meriden. He is also survived by his godchildren and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
