Tom Pomian wrote a sympathy message

“Sorry to hear about the passing of Tex, a truly great human being. He gave everything to making the Boys Club the great facility that it was. Tex and I go back over 65 years and I am blessed to have some fond memories of him. When he took over the youth soccer league he recruited me to coach as I played for Quinnipiac College. He would call me and say I have another girl who wants to play, could you take her. Yes, of course. God rest your soul and bless your family.”
