He was predeceased by : his wife Geraldine Vega; his parents, Ramon Vega and Pura Vega; the mother of his children Elise Vasquez Agosto; his daughter Martha E. Vega; and his siblings, Edith Gonzalez, Carmen Rivera, Henry Vega and Samwell Vega.

He is survived by : his children, Anna Vega (John Ghenes) of California, Harry A. Vega, Jr. (Marilyn Vega) of Connecticut and David Vega of New Mexico. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and his 18 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Meriden K-9 Unit, mailed to Meriden Police Department, 50 West Main St., Meriden CT 06451 in the attention of the K-9 unit.
