She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph B. Hamel; her parents, Frederick Tomassetti and Lucina Tomassetti (Matrese); her siblings, Frederick, Joseph and Beatrice; her grandson Matthew J. Ross; her daughter Lucina Edson; and her sons-in-law, Matthew Ross and Parker Edson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jo-Anne Ross of Ladies Island, SC and Therese Tartaglia (Carl); her grandchildren, Palti, Jennifer, Chelsea, Melissa Figueredo (Manuel) and Heather Grace Dachnowicz (Peter); and her great grandchildren, Melanie Figueredo and Callum Wills. She is also survived by her family as a stay-at-home mother, raising three daughters.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT 06451).
