She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Brown and Susan Brown (Clark); her husband Robert W. Bowen, Sr.; and her siblings, Charles Brown, Samuel Brown, Robert Brown, Donald Brown, Viola McGray, Hazel Bond, Dorothy Pearce, Mildred Hunt and Eva Partridge.

She is survived by : her daughters, Carol Bowen of Meriden, Darlene Bowen-Rodrigue (Harold) of Meriden and Margaret "Peggy" Vo (Tai) of Meriden; her grandchildren, Robert Bowen (Rhonda) of Keene, NH, David Bowen of Naples, FL., Tina Keene, Frank Keene, Michael Dominello, Gary Sparks, Mark Bowen, Wayne Fountain, Kathleen Brown, Joy Chaffee, Christopher Bowen, Daniel Bowen, Alex Bowen, Lien Cornwell, Kim Vo-Dinkollari, Khai Vo, Rachel Parker, Sean Bowen and Kiana Kelsey; her great grandchildren, Nicole, Eric, Victoria, Jeffery, Alana, Alayna, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Maya, Rebekah, Hayden, Amelia, Damien, Brooke, Luke, Niko and Baby Dinkollari; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy McMullen and Ida Vrooman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
