She was predeceased by: her spouse Russell Charest; her parents, James Rasmussen and Marion Rasmussen (Weyer); her daughter Kris Charest Vellturo; and her brother James Rasmussen.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Charest Waldner (Edward) of Middlefield, Russell V. Charest of Meriden and Paul M. Charest (Lori Swanson) of Meriden; her grandchildren, Erin Waldner, Keleigh Waldner (Spencer Cunningham), Colleen Vellturo, Kevin Vellturo, Michael Charest and Timothy Charest; her sister Mary H. Rasmussen; her nephews, Karl Smith (Susan) and Kirt Rasmussen; her niece Kirsten Rasmussen-Bergstrom (Timothy); and her son-in-law John Vellturo.
