He was predeceased by: his wife Dawn Markowski (Doyle); his parents, John E. Markowski Sr. and Valerie Markowski (Czajka); his brother Thomas Markowski; and his goddaughter Sarah Markowski.
He is survived by: his son John E. Markowski III (Leigh Anne Mehldau); his granddaughters, Elaina of Berlin and Amelia Markowski of Berlin; his siblings, Martha Jurek and William Markowski (Margaret) of Mass; his sister-in-law Suzanne Markowski of Meriden; and his nephew David Jurek.
