He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Hurst and Mary Agnes Hurst (Deegan); and his pet Max. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Hurst; and his children, Celeste, John, Denise, Lisa, Kristian and Maureen. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
