He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard F. Betts and Loretta Betts (LeBrun). He is survived by: his wife Rita Mae (Valeriay); his children, Rita Mae Dion (Mark), John W. Betts Jr. (Janice) and Jeffrey S. Betts (Susan); his grandchildren, Melissa Lesavoy, MD (Michael), John Dion (Brenna), Valeriay Dion, Dillion Jones, Rachel Betts and Isaac Betts; his great grandchild Levi Lesavoy; and his brother-in-law William Murdy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
