He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Perry and Carolyn Spruill Perry (Sharon Booker); his children, Jamal Spencer and Shadena Perry; and his siblings, Linda McKay and Steven Perry.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Shipman and Zazsheen Perry; his grandchildren, Miyori McFarlane, Samaria Stafford and Zyron Perry of New Haven; and his sister Annette Perry of Derby.
