She was predeceased by: her mother Maria J. Cangas; her siblings, Gallego Horta and Marta Horta; her grandson Alex Ortiz; and her great grandchild Hector Ortiz Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter Manuela Jorge; and her grandchildren, Hector Ortiz, Madelin Ortiz and Danaliz Jorge. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
