He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Nieves and Georgina Torres. He is survived by: his children, Julian Nieves III of Meriden and Gladys Idelis Nieves of New Haven; his wife Carmen Nieves (Calderon) of Meriden; and his siblings, Carmen Luz Cardona, Ana Torres, Gloria Calderon, Candidad Nieves, Edwin Calderon, Luis Calderon and Avelina Melecio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as dear family friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the John J. Ferry & Sons (88 E Main St, Meriden, CT 06450). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (300 Paddock Ave, Meriden, CT 06450). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (817 Old Colony Rd, Meriden, CT 06451).
