Linda Mary Kata Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linda Mary Kata in Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on January 28, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Demeter and Elizabeth Coleman (Fülöp). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Kata; her sisters, Katalin Kovacs, Zsoka Belcher and Ildiko Demeter; her stepchildren, Katoka Kata (Kathy) and Steven Kata; her stepgrandson Dane Kata; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Maryjane, Cyrus and Rose. She is also survived by six nephews and nieces, and their eight children and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (35 Center St, Meriden, CT 06450). A burial was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (250 Gypsy Ln, Meriden, CT 06450).
