She was predeceased by: her parents, William Booth and Mattie Meares (Quarles); her siblings, Jefferson, Robert, Cecil, Sylvester, Virgil Meares, Rosa Jean Gage, Annie Meares and Martha Meares; and her siblings-in-law, Gary "Tex" Burt, Robert Stoops, Earl Gage and Josephine Pereyo.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Burt; her children, Jo-Marie Burt, Tim Burt (Tammy Bassett Burt) and Nancy Burt (Charles Galer); her grandchildren, Jacob, Simon, Madison, Olive and Meena; her sister Mary Anna Stoops; her sister-in-law Carol Burt; her brothers, Donald Meares (Judith) and Richard Meares; and her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Burt (Susan) and Adalberto "Sonny" Pereyo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
