He was predeceased by: his parents, Winifred Leary and Richard Leary. He is survived by: his son Jack Leary; his siblings, Kathy Gentilozzi (Mark), Stephen Leary (Mary), Marty Braun (Peter), Martha Quaratella (Joe), Susan Beaudoin (Rich), Dennis Leary (Kristin) and Jennifer Kelley (Mike); and his girlfriend Lisa DiCaprio. He is also survived by his 28 nieces and nephews.
