Michele Elizabeth Muir Obituary

Michele "Shelley" Elizabeth Muir, age 56, of Meriden, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2017 surrounded by many loved ones. Born in New Haven on February 26, 1961, she is the daughter of Marianne McWeeney Muir and Michael (Terry) Muir. Shelley enjoyed a career as a paralegal for many years, most recently for Vollono Law Firm.

She was a very kind spirit with an amazing sense of humor and a heart of gold. Shelley was very talented and artistic. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, painting and drawing. Shelley had a passion for animals, flowers and nature. Most of all, she was an excellent mother and best friend to her daughter Brittney. In addition to her parents, Shelley is survived by her cherished daughter Brittney Dottori (Kaitlin Bischoff), brothers Michael Muir and Stephen (Linda) Muir, niece and nephew Ryan and Lily Muir, former husband and lifelong friend Frank Dottori, loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, in honor of Shelley"s memory, please show an act of kindness toward another person. Family and friends may visit on Saturday morning September 9th from 10:00 to noon at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Interment will be private.
