It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Miguel A. Rios of Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Miguel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Miguel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Guillermo Rios and Maria Luciano; his son Jose Miguel Avila; and his sisters, Ana Angelica Rios Padua, Juana Aida Rios and Maria Altroche.
He is survived by: his wife Bienvenida Rios; and his children, Miguel Rios Jr. (Milagros), Aida Luz Rios, Adam Avila (Juana) and Marilyn Negron. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
