She was predeceased by: her husband Roy W. Schaefer; her parents, George E. Hill and Alice Hill (Rich); her brothers, Raleigh, George, William, Forest and Douglas Hill; her granddaughter Jessica; and her great grandchild Sophia Brancaccio.
She is survived by: her children, Polly DeRoy (John) of Poultney and Douglas H. Schaefer of Middletown; her grandchildren, Jonathon, Gregory, Jeremy DeRoy, Alison Singleton (DeRoy) and Jamie Schaefer; her great grandchildren, Gunner, Grayson, Asher Singleton, Madison, Lyla DeRoy, Lexi Paquin and Paige Brancaccio; her great great grandchildren, Kali and Mia Shaw; and her niece Cheryl Blais. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
