The memory of Richard Wayne Church (Meriden, Connecticut), who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Richard Wayne may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard Wayne touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Church; and his brother-in-law Bryan Reno. He is survived by: his mother Irene Church (Wolkowicz); his wife Nancy Church (Erasmus); his son Kenneth B. Church of Murrells Inlet, S. C.; and his siblings, Penelope Reno of Clinton, Tracy Church of Meriden and Wayne Church of Clinton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home (88 E Main St, Meriden, CT 06450). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Aloysius Church (254 Burritt St, Plantsville, CT 06479). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery (310 Ann St, Meriden, CT 06450).
