He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Meister and Barbara Meister (Bohack). He is survived by: his children, Lauren, Erica, Alan and Matthew Meister; his sister Lynn Papale (John); his niece Sarah; his nephews, Michael and David Papale; and his aunt Dawn Meister.
