He was predeceased by: his wife Irene Buksa Alia; his parents, Rose Dascoli Alia and Salvatore Alia; his siblings, Carmel Giammatteo, Katherine Ranno, Ann Marie Soboleski, James, Albert, Joseph, Anthony and John Alia; and his siblings' children, Scott Soboleski, Peter Alia, Ted Alia and Susan Alia.
He is survived by: his daughter Christine Alia Meyers (Donald Nygard); his grandchildren, Scot Meyers (Kelsey Roberts) and Victoria Gilmore (Kyle Gilmore); his great grandchild Kyle Gilmore, Jr. (KJ); his siblings, Joan Alia and Robert Alia (Sharon Alia); and his close friend Gloria Mozzicato. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
