With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Young-Shelton of Meriden, Connecticut, born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her father Allen Williams; her husband Willie B. Shelton; her sisters, Daisy Mae Allen and Margaret Bivins; and her children, Glen A. Young Jr. and Janice Young.

She is survived by: her daughters, Virginia Young of Higganum, CT, Rosetta Young of Middletown, CT, Sheila E. Young of Meriden, CT, Barbara M. Young, Denise M., Young-Belin and Privott (Marvin). She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 22 Great-grandchildren.
