Thomas E. Bruenn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas E. Bruenn of Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Thomas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Thomas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruenn and Edith Tomassetti Bruenn; and his brother William. He is survived by: his spouse Menderes Cirakoglu.
Notably, Thomas, along with his students and colleagues, created the Celebration of Sir Isaac Newton to honor Newton's contributions to mathematics and physics. He also played a key role in establishing a robotics team for First Foundation competitions and was recognized as "GUS.".
