He was predeceased by: his father Victor Manuel Ortiz; and his grandparents, Jose Antonio Sr., Merida Rodriguez, Ramon Pagan and Petra Santana.
He is survived by: his mother Liset Colon; his stepfather Herris Aviles; his son Ayden Manuel Ortiz; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Marte, Oseas Roman, Jaysa and Jaivy Cruz; his stepgrandchildren, Gabriel, Genevee, Geremiah and Hezekiah; his siblings, Merida Ortiz and David Manuel Ortiz of Meriden; and his aunts and uncles, José A. Jr., Edward Rodriguez, Pablo Ortiz, Maritza Pagan of Meriden and Rosa Maria Ortiz of Meriden. He is also survived by many cousins, family and friends.
