He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gaffey and Marion Gaffey (Kennedy); his son William J. Gaffey Jr.; his brother Martin E. Gaffey Sr.; and his friend Gayle Fisher.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Linda B. Gaffey of Meriden; his grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Gaffey; his niece Maureen; and his nephews, Martin Jr. and Kevin. He is also survived by several grandnieces; and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT 06451). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (250 Gypsy Ln, Meriden, CT 06450).
