He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon Gilmore and Elizabeth Harris (Portee); and his siblings, Johnnie Mae Wint, Sandra Easterling, Myrtle Anderson, George Harris and Larry Truman Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Dudek Harris; his daughters, Stacy and Sheila; his grandson Evan; and his siblings, Eddie Mae Phipps (Albert), Ann Tate, Leroy, Herman and Floyd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
