He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia L. Cartiglia (Barker); his parents, Vincent Cartiglia and Eleanora Cartiglia (Caravello); his sister Eleanor Falanga; and his grandsons, David Peterson and Michael T. Chiarella, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Kurt A. Mortimer (Doris) of Middlebury, Kristina Peterson (Michael Chiarella), Craig E. Brenneman (Corrina), Gregg A. Brennaman (Erica Kelly) and Toni Cartiglia of Spokane Valley, WA; and his brother Vincent Cartiglia of Long Beach, I. L.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
