Thomas H. O'Dell Obituary

Thomas H. O'Dell, age 79, of Middlebury peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (Donahue) O'Dell. He was born in Derby on August 5, 1943, the son of the late Howard and Edna (Hyland) O'Dell. Tom worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed taking long car rides through the countryside, and above all loved spending time with his family.

Tom is survived by his daughters Coleen Sullivan (Kurt) and Crystal Wayne (James), his grandchildren Patrick Sullivan, Tyler Sullivan, and Alexus Hipler, his companion Betty DeGeorge, and brother David O'Dell, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Carolyn Bell.

Friends may call on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton from 8 AM to 10 AM. His funeral procession will leave the parlor at 10:15 AM for his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 50 Fairmont Pl. Shelton. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery in Derby.
