With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vanessa M. Schmaltz of Middlefield, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Manzara and Virginia Myer Manzara; and her siblings, Lynn Manzara, Sherril Markham and John Manzara.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Schmaltz; her children, Kimberly Schmaltz, Eldred (Richard Eldred) and Charles "Chuck" Schmaltz (Amy); her grandchildren, Ashleigh, Charlie and Genevieve Schmaltz; and her brother Bruce Manzara (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
