He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hart (McDaniel); his children, Darnell Hart (Tawana), Ivan (Angel Cote) and Yalonda (Maurice Overton); his grandchildren, S'Nani, Dajon, Darrence, Josiah, Imani, Dasia, Jerimiah and Ivan II; and his siblings, Thaddeus Hart (Melissa) and Selina Anderson (Jerome).
