He is survived by: his sister Barbara Lavezzoli; his daughters, Elaine "Lainie" Kertesz, Simone Hnilicka and Carol Doyle (Dan); his daughter-in-law Julie Hnilicka-Karns; his son Charles Hnilicka Jr.; his grandchildren, Rachael Foss-Clark (Jesse), Zachary Kertesz, Zoli Kertesz, Vincent Hnilicka, Karl Hnilicka III, Julia Hnilicka, Mara Hnilicka, Charles Hnilicka III (Sarah), Maya Doyle and Jenny Doyle; his great grandchildren, Ryley, Otto McLaughlin, Boston, Asher and Calliope Clark; his niece Julie Purcell (Lavezzoli); his stepson Ed Smith Jr. (Nancy); his stepgrandsons, Ed III (Tina) and Eric Smith; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Logan and Jared Smith.
