He was predeceased by: his parents, John Scovill and Georgiana Scovill (Lord); his wives, Arline Scovill (Tuller) and Helen Scovill (Dudley); and his siblings, Talcott, Fred, Ronald, John, Olive Larson, Doris Clark and Bernice Pettersen.
He is survived by: his children, Arthur Scovill (Sue) of Higganum, James L. Scovill, Jr. (Patricia) of Cromwell, Charlotte Pettersen (John Perry) of Higganum and Georgianna Duffy (Shane) of Colchester. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
