Joan Ryan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ryan of Middletown, Connecticut, born in Canaan, Connecticut, who passed away on September 24, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Augusta Bagnaschi and Frederick Reel; her husband Robert Ryan; her sister Shirley McCarthy; her daughter Patricia Boothroyd (Ed) of Higganum; her grandsons, Ryan Boothroyd of Rocky Hill and Jason Boothroyd (Kristi); her great grandchildren, Connor, Riley and Hunter of Higganum; her brother Fred Reel; and her cousin Sally Curtis. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and several close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Joan's memory to Mercy High School, 1740 Randolph Rd. Middletown, CT 06457.
