She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander J. Swokla; her parents, Frederick Flanagan and Margaret Flanagan (Marks); her husband Al Swokla; her son Robert; and her siblings, Richard Wayne Flanagan, Daniel Flanagan, Kenneth "Ike" Flanagan and Maureen Flanagan.
She is survived by: her brother Frederick "Freddy" Flanagan of Maine; her daughter Donna Barnes of Chester; and her grandchildren, Lara Barnes (Jeremy Herr) of Oregon and Luc Dang of New York. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
