She was predeceased by: her father Stephen Longfellow; and her stepparents, Alexander Sobolewski and Rowena Longfellow. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Lavoie; her mother Penelope Sobelewski (Mathes); her stepdaughter Elizabeth Lavoie; her sister Amy Gallagher (Chad) of Ivoryton; her stepsiblings, Scott Sobolewski (Ruth) of Avon, Jill Sobolewski of New York, Dr. Robin Sobolewski (Ralph Gross) of Pennsylvania and Bruce Cyr (Sue) of Southington; and her uncle Milo Mathes, Jr. of Bristol. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Oncology Department at MidState Medical Center or Vox Church.
