He is survived by: his spouse Johnnie Mae Carter (Dunson); his children, Arthur Lee Carter of New London, Mack Carter (Shirley) of Ashtabula, OH, Ronald Carter of Myrtle Beach, SC and Phyllis Russell (Prentice) of New London; and his daughter-in-law Cynthia Carter of Memphis, TN. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
