With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Tara Leigh Wood of Middletown, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Tara left this world on May 22, 2026 at the age of 41, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Tara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Tara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her parents, Samuel DiGovanni and Christine DiGovanni (Delaney) of Meriden; her brother Cristopher DiGovanni (Lauren) of Southington; her niece Cecilia; her nephews, Joshua of Southington and Zachary of Southington; her significant other Shaun Heaphy of Middletown; and her pets, Trixie and Yoshi. She is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Meriden Hills Baptist Church (139 Charles St, Meriden, CT 06450).
