Gaskins, Sr. and Pearl Holley; his stepmother Catharine Gaskins; his siblings, James Gaskins, Jr. (Louise), Holley Gaskins (Bertha) and Melinda Gaskins; his stepbrothers, George Welch of Washington, D. C. and Willie Welch of Richmond, VA; his grandson Jakori Locklear; and also Sheldon Hoggard (Wendy).
He is survived by: his wife Alice R. Hoggard; his daughters, Sharon Locklear (Howard) of Middletown, CT., Melinda Gaskins of Middletown, CT., Theresa Brown of Middletown, CT. and Wanda Gaskins of Middletown, CT.; his siblings, Edward Gaskins of Middletown, Rosa Gaines of Brooklyn, NY, Delzara Ward of Hampton, VA, Karen Robertson (Ricky) of Raleigh, NC and Sharon Johnson of Raleigh, NC; and his stepsisters, Faye Litefoot of Hartford, NC, Elsie Gilliman of Fayetteville, NC and Erma Smallwood of Windsor, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Christian Church (693 Saybrook Rd, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
