He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Verle, Nannie Cooke and Ethel Smith; his aunt Belinda Smith; and his uncles, James Ray Cooke and Paul David Smith.

He is survived by: his parents, Aaron Smith Sr. and Christina Smith (Cooke) of Milford; his siblings, Aaron J. Smith, Jr. and Catherine Smith; and his aunts and uncles, Robert Cooke (Toni Mclellan), Walter Joseph Bailey, Roger Michael Smith (Bill Ravenscroft), Sharon Bigos (Adam) and Tina Highsmith. He is also survived by many cousins whom he considered siblings.
