He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Bruder (Maher); and his parents, Bernhard Bruder and Hildegard Bruder (Hotz). He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Bruder of Charleston, SC and Michael Bruder (Leslie) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Chase, MacKenzie, David and Matthew Bruder; and his nephews, Mark Bruder (Trish) of Seymour and Eric Bruder (Denise) of Haddam.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gregory Doyle Funeral Home (291 Bridgeport Ave, Milford, CT 06460). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Gabriel Church (25 Broadway, Milford, CT 06460).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernie's memory to the American Cancer Society.
