She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret G. Wallace and Clyde Rowell; and her brother Craig Rowell. She is survived by: her sons, James Pettway, Demetrius Pettway (Tomasita Pettway), Travis Rowell and Terrell Rowell; her grandchildren, Aniyah Pettway, Travis Rowell Jr., Demetrius Pettway Jr., Tatyanna Pettway, Isabella Pettway, Milan Rowell, Zaila Pettway and Maliyah Rowell; her great grandchild Nala Davis; and her siblings, Barbara Danzy, Margaret Wallace and Robert Johnson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cathedral of Praise (45 Gregory St, Bridgeport, CT 06604). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
