“It was always enjoyable to visit with Helene on various holidays at family gatherings. She was a literacy volunteer in Milford and I especially remember when her student who was learning English as a second language was a guest at one of the dinners. It was inspiring to see the friendship that had developed and how much had been accomplished by having a tutor, an accomplishment they were both proud of. I will miss her.”
