He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhardt Benson and Helen Benson; and his sister Gale Benson-Padilla. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Jennifer Fatemi (Matthew) and Jon Benson; his grandchildren, Caitlin Peden (Tyler), Patrick McKelvey (Yashi Severson), Ellie Fatemi, Devon Verma, Austin Benson and Olivia Benson; his great grandchild Mila; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Padilla, Cassandra Nieves and Omal Padilla; and his great-nephews, Logan and Cody.
