He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henry Helwig Sr. and Vivian Marie Helwig (Moshier); his siblings, Katherine Wise and Richard Helwig; his wife Rose Marie; and his children, John Helwig III and Melissa Helwig. He was also cherished by extended family with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cody-White Funeral Home (107 Broad St, Milford, CT 06460).
