He was predeceased by: his father Gregory Vatert, Sr.; and his sister Jocelyn Ruszkowski. He is survived by: his mother Rosanne Ruszkowski (John); his children, Ashley Ruszkowski, David Scalzi, Jr., Aiden Ruszkowski and Maya Ruszkowski; his wife Christine Ruszkowski; his grandchild Sawyer; and his brothers, Gregory Vatert, Jr., Christopher Ruszkowski, John D. Ruszkowski (Cathy) and Benjamin Ruszkowski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cody-White Funeral Home (107 Broad St, Milford, CT 06460).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
