He was predeceased by: his wife Lena Carson (Alves); his parents, Frederick Jason Carson and Mary Jane Carson (Barrett); his sisters, Mary Ann Carson and Sybil Brown; and his nieces, Margaret Carson and Mary Jane Rosa (Carson).

He is survived by: his sons, Richard Carson of Milford and David Carson (Jeannie) of Clinton; and his granddaughter Katie Jean Carson of Moodus.
